Alice Henriques and Griff Curtis - Winners of the 2009 Buckman Triathlon
On Saturday, September 12th, our conference, the NECTC, held its first race of the season, the Buckman Triathlon in Lebanon, NJ. When the race was over, Columbia had won the team competition as well as both the male and female collegiate divisions. Alice Henriques came in first overall and in the female division and was joined on the podium by Deena Elwan, who took 3rd. The men's race was won by Griff Curtis while Russell Ericksen came in 3rd in their division.
Overall, the team outpointed Boston University to take the overall conference lead. Next up for the club is the conference championships on October 3rd in Montauk, NY.
