Synopsis

In his second feature narrative Valentyn Vasianovych continues to focus on important issues of the post-Soviet Ukrainian condition, combining in his own original way the dramatic with the absurd.
Orest and Natalka two young professional denizens of Lviv are compelled to deal with the Soviet legacies that still very much define the everyday life, interpersonal relationships and values in contemporary Ukraine. These legacies are  everywhere - at work, on the street, within their own family. In fact it is their own family that becomes a tragicomic theater of warfare between the old Soviet generation blindly sticking to the communist ways, mores and language, and a new one eager to lead a free and dignified live.
