Synopsis
A sudden disappearance of a little boy living with a single mother and teenage sister in one of the faceless residential areas of the Ukrainian capital brings to light the ills that plague Ukrainian society firmly in the grip of the oligarchy. Conflicts between children and parents, moral devastation of the individual, psychologically scarred children growing up in dysfunctional families, corrupt government, abusive police, linguistic and cultural schitzophrenia - all these elements are mixed into a cocktail that is bound to self-ignite. Volodymyr Tykhy comes up with yet another low-budget and sadly mediocre production, whose only redeeming feature seems to be the fact that there are almost no other Ukrainian films one could simply watch, never mind appreciate.
