Columbia UNICEF is part of a national coalition of student-led campus groups that educate, advocate, and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF. We strongly believe that every child has the right the survive and thrive in this world, and support UNICEF in its mission to do whatever it takes to save a child's life. Founded in 1946, UNICEF now works in more than 150 countries to save children's lives - through immunizations, nutrition, health care, emergency humanitarian assistance and programs that confront the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Because of its expertise, access, influence and resolve, UNICEF has saved more children's live than any other humanitarian organization. However there remains much more work to be done, and we as a campus initiative affirm the power of college students to make a major difference in the fight for child survival.
