Our Mission
 Our consultants will work with you to help you become better writers, thinkers, and readers. Our approach is to attend to both the short-term goal of improved papers and the long-term goal of improved writing, critical thinking, and reading skills. To that end, we expect you to be actively involved in your session. Consider your consultation an opportunity to have an in-depth discussion about your work with an experienced reader.

Now you can get help on your writing and your research in one spot! Writing Center appointments are available at the reference desk, 301 Butler, for all Columbia students. Writing Center consultants will help you conceptualize your research project or revise drafts. Research librarians will help you find the sources you need.
