The Vice Provost for Academic Administration administers the University's policies governing academic appointments and programs on behalf of the Provost.

  The Faculty Handbook   Negotiates faculty retirement agreements, and
  University Reaccreditation   Handles grievances from academic officers.

 Academic Programs
  Reviews proposals to create new degree and certificate programs;
    Administers the periodic strategic reviews of the Schools and other major
    academic units, and
    Serves as the University's chief liaison to the Middle States Association of
    Colleges and Schools and the New York State Department of Education.
   
  The Vice Provost also serves as the Rules Administrator under the Rules of University Conduct and oversees the University's policies on alcohol consumption on campus.
  The International Students and Scholars Office reports to the Senior Vice Provost.
