ANPO: Art X War, reveals the story of resistance to U.S. military bases which remain in Japan today, through a collage of paintings, photographs, anime, films, and music, by Japan’s most respected artists. These artists and their art portray the devastating impact of the struggle against the U.S. military presence, which erupted into a democratic, national uprising in 1960.
