Now accepting submissions for 2011 undergraduate East and Southeast Asia photo exhibit
Undergrads, did you travel in East or Southeast Asia over the summer? Did you study abroad there over the past year? If so, we want to see your best photographs!
The Weatherhead East Asian Institute and the Columbia University Photography Society will be organizing a third annual undergraduate photography exhibition during the Fall 2011 semester and we want you to contribute!
Photographs must have been taken in East or Southeast Asia between September 1, 2010 and September 1, 2011 and reflect what you think is a key theme in the societies and cultures of the region. Examples of themes include family, work, the environment, tradition and change, although these are only a few suggestions!
Any Columbia College, SEAS, Barnard, or GS student* may submit a maximum of five photographs, shot digitally or on film, in color or black and white, together with a brief description of the theme(s) they depict. Please submit prints in hardcopy to Room 922 International Affairs Building, or via email to weaiundergrads@columbia.edu, by September 15, 2011. If shooting digitally, please photograph at a sufficient resolution to be printed roughly 16x20" at 300 pixels per inch. Photographs in the exhibition will be selected by a jury, professionally printed and mounted, and exhibited on campus.
Interested? For more information please email weaiundergrads@columbia.edu.
*Eligible students include graduates from the Class of 2011 and all current undergraduate students
