International Cooperation and Exchange

The Modern Tibetan Studies Program and Columbia University have hosted visiting scholars from both within the United States and abroad to foster international cooperation and scholarly exchange. While at Columbia, visiting scholars conduct their own research, participate in discussion with their peers, and offer seminars and lectures to students and the public.

Additionally, scholars from the Modern Tibetan Studies Program participate in Tibet-related conferences and seminars around the world, take part in delegations to other countries, and convene panels at conferences, and also have lectures and courses at other universities.
