Hannah Waldrip

Hannah Waldrip is a senior at Barnard College double majoring in American Studies and Spanish & Latin American Cultures. She started playing French horn in the 6th grade because it was the only instrument that favored those blessed to be left-handed. Hannah blossomed into a concert band, marching band, and orchestra nerd during her high school years. She was thrilled to continue this passion as a part of CUWE. Hannah served as co-publicity chair her freshman year and treasurer during her sophomore and junior years. She is very proud to lead the wind ensemble as president for her senior year and looks forward to maintaining CUWE's musical excellence and commitment to sharing music with everyone in the community.

Sean Healey

Sean Healey is a sophomore in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences majoring in Electrical Engineering. Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Sean has played the French horn since elementary school. During his musical career, Sean has played with the Kentucky All-State Band, the All-County Band, and the Louisville Youth Orchestra, as well as both his high school's Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Sean is thrilled to continue playing in the Columbia University Wind Ensemble with the world's greatest French horn section.

Andrea Gillis

Andrea Gillis is a Columbia College senior excited to be a member of the elite oboe section in the Columbia University Wind Ensemble. Originally from New Jersey she attended high school in Georgia. Andrea has been playing the oboe for 10 years and is majoring in Music while pursing a pre-Medical curriculum. Andrea combines both of her loves by being a proud member of the Columbia University Marching Band while also weekly teaching health curricula in local NYC high schools through Peer Health Exchange.

Sam Alexander

Sam is a junior in the joint program between Columbia's School of General Studies and the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is majoring in English & Comparative Literature and Jewish Literature with a concentration in education from Barnard. He has been juggling with a range of brass instruments since 4th grade, playing trumpet, baritone, euphonium and trombone in a number of ensembles and genres, including jazz, marching, renaissance and symphonic music. He is excited to take on the role of secretary for the wind ensemble this year.

Jason Mogen

Jason Mogen is a Columbia College senior majoring in religion, hailing from the far distant land of Long Island. Previously he has interned at Carnegie Hall, and has played the French horn in the New York All-State Wind Ensemble, All-State Symphonic Band, and the Suffolk All-County Band. Currently, Jason is interning with the New York Philharmonic, serves as a Community Impact Student Executive, and is a Kenneth Cole Community Engagement Fellow. In his spare time, Jason likes setting Sousa music on fire for being so mean to hornists. Hi mom!

Sherrie Deng is currently a sophmore at Barnard College. This is her second year playing flute and piccolo in the CUWE. She love, love, loves her job as social chair and this wonderful group of instrumentalists!

Toni Ma is a senior at Columbia College, majoring in political science and computer science. She started playing piano and trumpet in elementary school, and has been a member of CUWE since her freshman year.
