Main Acitivites:

Game of Life Discussion Series:

The Game of Life (GoL) discussion series is a forum to gather and address the many issues that confront us as we evolve into the coming stages of our lives, as people, as scientists, as women regarding our careers, research, families, our finances and so much more! See the link at left for details of past and future events.

Breakfast with Colloquia Speakers:

WISC hosts breakfast for women colloquia speakers in all science departments. This is a great opportunity to have an informal conversation with succesful women scientists in academia. Details of future and past events are here . If a woman scientist is speaking in your department, contact us for help organizing a breakfast.

Outreach:

WISC organizes and sponsers a variety of community outreach events. These are primarily aimed at exposing middle school girls to science and higher education in general. The biggest event, Girl's Science Day, is an annual event for girls to come and participate in hands-on science experiments. Each spring there is Take a Girl to College day where 7th grade girls shadow a college student for a day. See the outreach page to learn more details, more events, and how to get involved.

WISC general meeting:

Is there something we have forgotten? Or a vision you would like to get started? Come with your ideas, willingness to get involved or just to see what we are up to at our next meeting. Meetings last approximately 30 minutes and refreshments are provided.
Checkout the minutes if you missed a meeting.
