Lecturer

Greg Lichtenberg received a BA from Harvard University; an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers Workshop, which awarded him a James Michener/Copernicus Society Fellowship; and an MA in nonfiction from The University of Iowa.  He is the author of the memoir, Playing Catch with My Mother (Bantam, 1999) and of essays and stories in The New York Times Magazine, Fence, Dragonfire and elsewhere.  In support of Else, a novel in progress, he received the Chapter One Award from the Bronx Arts Center, and fellowships from the Jerome Foundation and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.  He has received The University of Iowa’s Award for Outstanding Teaching.
