Lecturer

Sonya Chung earned her B.A. from Columbia University, and her M.F.A. from the University of Washington.  She is the author of the novel Long for This World (Scribner 2010), which was selected for Magill’s Literary Annual 2011.  Her stories, reviews, & essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Tin House, The Threepenny Review, Crab Orchard Review, Sonora Review, FiveChapters, and BOMB Magazine, among others.  She is a recipient of a Pushcart Prize nomination, the Charles Johnson Fiction Award, and the Bronx Council on the Arts Writers’ Fellowship & Residency.  She contributes regularly to the literary blog The Millions and has taught writing at the Gotham Writers Workshop, the College of Mt. Saint Vincent, University of Washington, and New York University.  Sonya lives in New York City and rural Pennsylvania.
