CAYM. Cain was Adam's elder son, who slew his brother Abel when God accepted Abel's sacrifice and refused Cain's. God then made Cain a fugitive and a wanderer throughout the earth, and Cain felt his punishment was more than he could bear (Genesis 4:1-24).

The Parson tells of Cain's despair, ParsT 1015. [Judas]
