ELIACHIM was a priest of Bethulia, the city where Judith lived. When Holofernes attacked Judea with his army, Eliachim advised the people to seize the mountain passes and so prevent the Assyrians from approaching the city (Judith [The Latin Vulgate] 4: 5-7).

The Monk identifies Eliachim as a priest of Bethulia, MkT 2565-2566. [Judith: Oloferne]

The name occurs medially, MkT 2566.
