EZECHIAS, EZECHIE. Ezechias, son of Ahaz, was born in 745 B.C. He reigned as king of Judah from 720-691 B.C., ruling for twenty-nine years (Isaiah 38).

The Parson quotes the contrition of Ezechias, Isaiah 38:15, ParsT 135 and 983.

Ezechie, ME variant of Latin dative singular, appears in ParsT 135. Ezechias, the Latin nominative, appears in ParsT 983. The King James Bible gives the name as Hezikiah.
