GERVEYS is the village smith in The Miller's Tale. He works very late at night in his shop, MillT 3760-3763, and Absolon borrows a "kultour" or plowshare from him to use on Nicholas, MillT 3782-3785. [Absolon2]

The name occurs once initially, MillT 3779; twice in medial positions, MillT 3765, 3775; and once in final rhyming position, MillT 3761.
