LIMOTE. Skeat (III: 273) suggests that this name identifies Elymas the sorcerer, whom Paul the Apostle encountered at Paphos. Sergius Paulus, the Roman deputy, invited Paul and Barnabas to preach to him, but Elymas tried to prevent it. Paul denounced him, and Elymas was immediately struck blind. Then Sergius Paulus believed in the new faith (Acts 13:6-12).

Limote appears with witches and sorcerers in the hall of Fame's house, HF III.1274.

The name appears once, initially.
