PAULYN. Decius Paulinus, fl. fifth century A.D., was consul in 498. Cassiodorus writes to Coelianus and Agapitus that Theodoric has ordered the speedy prosecution of Paulinus (Epistola I.xxiii).

Boethius says that he snatched "the richesses" of Paulinus "out of the jowes of hem that gapeden," Bo I, Prosa 4. 92-97. [Boece]
