Exhibit Opening: In Besieged Leningrad: Architect Alexander Nikolsky

Please join the Harriman Institute for the exhibit opening of In Besieged Leningrad: Architect Alexander Nikolsky. The exhibit opening will include a screening and discussion of two art documentaries, The Official Portrait of Power: Nikolay Andreev, and The Taming of Talent: Lazar Khidekel. The screening will be held in the Marshall D. Shulman Seminar Room (1219 IAB). These documentaries are part of 'The Key to Eternity: An Art Documentary Series.' Dr. Regina Khidekel, curator, member of International Association of Art Critics, Founding Director of the Russian American Cultural Center (RACC); Alexander Borovsky, Svetlana Domogatskaya, Irina Karasik, Natalia Kozyreva, Regina Khidekel, Lyudmila Martz and Natalia Semenova are among art historians and museum directors interviewed in these films. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Catharine Nepomnyashchy (Harriman Institute & Barnard College) and Regina Khidekel (Founding Director of the Russian American Cultural Center). Co-sponsored with the Russian-American Cultural Center, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the New York Council for the Humanities. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
