Global Jazz: The Italian Connection

In recent years, the concept of Global Jazz has gained traction in artistic and academic circles. Studies and music festivals celebrating the local jazz traditions of communities across the globe have increased steadily. Using newly-discovered archival sources, Global Jazz: The Italian Connection explores the important, but now largely forgotten, role that jazz played in the cultural identity of Fascist Italy.
