GSAS Teaching Center Workshop: Course Corrections: What You Can Learn from Your Students
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Columbia University Morningside Campus 204 Butler Library
As the semester heads towards the home stretch, this session explores what you can learn about your course design and teaching practice when you pay attention to student behaviors and course data. We will share use cases from Columbia CourseWorks and illustrate how emergent technology platforms can help you collect evidence of student interaction with course content (and each other). Additionally, we will provide some guidelines and techniques for soliciting direct, honest, and useful student feedback in time to make positive changes in your class or section. Pizza will be available for registered participants.
