GSAS Teaching Center Workshop: Lectures That Stick: Cognition Theories for Better Presentations
Wednesday, February 6, 2013 - 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Columbia University Morningside Campus 204 Butler Library
This workshop explores effective (and not-so-effective) ways of using presentation tools like PowerPoint -- as well as newer tools such as Prezi, Google Docs, and Voicethread -- to deliver ideas in the classroom and other academic presentations. We will examine how cognitive principles, design methods, and Web 2.0 technologies can be leveraged for more effective presentations. Presented in partnership with the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning RewirED series. Food will be available for registered participants.
