Haiti Dialogue Series: Perspectives on Haitis National Strategic Development Plan - Planning in the Absence of Reliable, Recent Data

The Earth Institute's Center on Globalization and Sustainable Develoment's Haiti Research and Policy Program Dialogue Series presents "Perspectives on Haitis National Strategic Development Plan: Planning in the Absence of Reliable, Recent Data," with Frantz Verella, Former Minister of Public Works, Transportation and Communication and lead author of the Plan Stratgique de Dveloppement dHati.

This Haiti Dialogue Series focus is on various components of the design and implementation of the National Strategic Development Plan for Haiti. This first session will be a detailed discussion with one of the lead authors and most experienced planners in Haiti.  As one of the key team members working with the government to create the PSDH, Mr. Verella will provide reflections on the challenges to create generate a strategy in the absence of information and data. Please join us for this rare opportunity to understand how national planning documents are compiled and how to use data to enhance the implementation strategies.
