"How to Get a Job Like Mine" - Using Doctoral Skills In and Out of the Academy

A Ph.D. philosophy graduate will share his post-PhD journey from working in a large consulting firm, in the pharmaceutical industry, in state government, to starting his own small business. Throughout he has relied on the research, analysis, and critical thinking skills he developed during his master's and doctoral training in philosophy and bioethics. He has created an interesting career that spans several diverse sectors and includes being an entrepreneur.
He will share strategies and advice about what it takes to succeed outside of the academy while staying involved in teaching, consulting, and collaboration.
