Power Dynamics in the UN: the emergence of regional organizations and the case of the European Union

The panel will discuss the enhanced representation of the EU as a single entity at the UN and the importance and future of regional organizations in the functioning of the UN. The speakers will give their perspective on the role that regional organizations should/will play in a ever-evolving UN. The case of the EU,as the first organization to win enhanced representation will also be analyzed. The event will be followed by a reception where refreshments and wine will be served.
