Harris Solomon is Assistant Professor of Cultural
Anthropology and Global Health at Duke University. He earned an MPH at
Emory University and a PhD at Brown University. His areas of interest
include South Asia, Urban Anthropology, Mass Culture, Post Colonialism,
and Globalization. He is working on a book project that analyses
India's rising rates of obesity and diabetes, drawing from fieldwork in
Mumbai kitchens, metabolic disorder clinics, and food companies.
