Second Annual Program for Financial Studies Conference: "Turning Around Governments, Companies, and Attitudes"
Join alumni, practitioners, and current students at the
second annual conference, "Turning Around Governments, Companies, and
Attitudes" featuring keynote speaker Henry S. Miller '70, chairman,
Marblegate Asset Management and member, Board of Overseers, Columbia Business
School. The conference will be followed by two concurrent panels on asset
management and corporate finance.
Sessions will be moderated by Laurie Simon Hodrick, A. Barton Hepburn Professor
of Economics in the Faculty of Business and founding director and chair of the
advisory board, Program for Financial Studies, Columbia Business School and
Charles M. Jones, Robert W. Lear Professor of Finance and Economics and
director, Program for Financial Studies, Columbia Business School. Confirmed
panelists include: Candace Browning '79, head, Global Research, Bank of America
Merrill Lynch; Jacques Chappuis '98, head, Morgan Stanley Alternative
Investment Partners; Amir R. Emami '05, managing director, SGS Asset
Management; Jeffrey L. Kaplan, chief operating officer, Appaloosa Management
