"Getting it together at last," exulted the Economist in 2009. Four years later and Brail is against the subject of a special edition, but the tone is rather different. "A stagnant economy, a bloated state and mass protests" (Economist, September 2013). Why has the fate of "the country of the future" not been as bright as everyone dreamed of? Professor Albert Fishlow will discuss the latest developments in Brazil since his book "Starting Over" was launched, in 2011, and provide his insights ahead of and beyond the 2014 general elections.
