The Office of University Publications develops, creates, and produces marketing communications. It provides design, editorial, and production services in addition to photography, illustration, and writing on a per-project basis. The office specializes in publications with specific goals such as student recruitment, public awareness, development and alumni outreach. The office also specializes in providing an integrated approach to multiple publications, using image and identity (logos) to provide a professional presentation in visual communications.

CUIT Web Production Services is a group specializing in on-line strategy consultation, web site design and web site production. The organization’s mandate is to support the University’s web needs with a cost-effective, fee-based, professional web consulting service. The team works with departments in a variety of ways, including launching new sites, maintaining existing sites, and creating on-line applications and forms.

Recently, the group unveiled Hypercontent, an easy-to-use content management system that provides the ability for clients to create, manage and update web sites without needing the technical expertise of a webmaster.

The Earth Institute Office of External Relations conveys information about the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory to the public and University community. It prepares brochures and issues news releases and newsletters about Lamont scientists, research findings, and other newsworthy events. The office also responds to requests for information about the earth sciences from the media, educators, and the general public. If you need assistance with outreach efforts, the Office of External Relations can help in locating speakers and preparing exhibits. It also hosts the annual Open House, where the public can view research-related exhibits, tour laboratories, and talk with scientists about Lamont-Doherty.
