1. Unbridled and continuous participation in discussion sections.
2. Class attendance.

Note the %-value of each requirement towards your final grade:

Quiz = 10%
Midterm = 30%
Final = 40%
Project = 20%

Improvement by a student seen in scores that steadily improved over the course of the semester will be looked upon favorably. This means two things:
1. There will be no need to panic if you do horribly on the QUIZ, for example.
2. In such cases of improvement final grades will be at the discretion of the instructor.
