| According to T. Douglas Price and Gary M. Feinman, bipedalism is one of the three factors that define being �human�. Ironically, the other two factors of �being human�, the use of stone tools and increased brain size, could not be accomplished without hominids first walking about upon two feet. There is little doubt as to what created the famed foot prints at Laetoli, Tanzania 3.5 million years ago. However, why they were created and the significance of their creations remains a hotly debated topic. This website will attempt to explore those theories and consequences. |
