Study Tips:

Much of the material covered in this course is likely to be completely new to many of you.  In addition, you will have to learn new software to complete the homeworks. This can appear quite daunting for a course.  To ease things a bit, the class will be divided into several study groups.  The purpose of the study group is for students to consult with one another when preparing the homeworks, studying for the exam or for some other matter.

The material covered in this course is cumulative.  Consequently, it is crucial that you keep up with the material being covered in class.  It is highly recommended that you complete the assigned reading before each class.  That way you can target your questions to material that you are not clear about.

Instead of waiting until the night before the due date to do the homework, attempt to answer the problems soon after the material is covered in class or the computing lab.  That way, the material will still be fresh in your mind.
