Course Requirements

Lecture:  Attendance of lectures is mandatory.  Please be prompt so that we may begin and end on time.

Reading Assignments:  Students are urged to read the text before coming to lecture.  I will list the pages relevant to particular topics on the daily outlines.

Examinations:  There will be three lecture exams:  two hourlies (each counts 25% of your final grade) and a final (50% of your final grade).  Students should not expect to be offered make‑ups for missed exams.

PLEASE NOTE:

The lecture hall where this class meets was renovated at great expense during the summer of 1997.  To prevent accidental damage to this facility, please DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE ROOM.  You should finish breakfast before coming to class.
