This module will address mainly population characteristics and why some populations are more vulnerable to extinction. We will do some population modelling and look at some of the methods used to determine population size and monitor their change. Student Evaluation: Student’s will be given assignments after each class (thought question, brief essay) that will be due the following week. Students will be required to do a brief collaborative library research project on an endangered species (assigned at the first class, due the last class). Student participation in class will also be taken into account in the evaluation. |
