For this essay, I'd like you to develop an argument
that ends with one of the following statements:
1. Therefore, we can consider violent television shows and video
games to be directly related to violent behavior in children.

2. Therefore, we cannot consider violent television shows and video
games to be directly related to violent behavior in children.
The sentence you choose should be the last sentence of your last
paragraph. Argue your case logically and convincingly, making sure
to avoid assumptions and generalizations. You should determine
two major ideas that are central to the logic of your conclusion.
Then use these guidelines to structure your essay:
First paragraph: Present and explain your first supporting idea.
Don't think of this paragraph as an introductory paragraph; briefly
orient your reader if necessary, then focus on your supporting idea.
Second paragraph: Present and explain your second supporting idea.
Third paragraph: Combine the ideas from the first two paragraphs
to reach your conclusion. Instead of simply repeating the content
of the first two paragraphs, work on reaching a conclusion that
effectively synthesizes your supporting material.
This essay should be 300-400 words. Remember to turn in 2 copies!
