Error Explanation

Access to the Music Humanities Virtual Tapes is restricted to computers that have a properly registered network address at Columbia University. This restriction is necessary due the nature of the audio files which can not be broadcast outside the University IP range.

A properly registered computer is provided a host name (mycomputer.columbia.edu) and an IP number (128.59.x.x).

The information below is provided to help you diagnose possible access problems.  

• Your computer has not been assigned a registered host name.
  Your computer reports that it is using the IP address: 104.23.197.220
