Nutrition Components of Clinical Practice II

The goal of Clinical Practice II, like that of Clinical Practice I, is to help students gain the knowledge, skill and attitudes necessary to translate basic science into the care of patients. To build on the knowledge and skills relevant to Nutrition, Clinical Case Conferences focus on specific disease states that students are learning about in Pathophysiology, and give students the opportunity to learn firsthand from patients and their physicians about behavioral and life style aspects critical to good outcomes and good care. Sessions which feature the most concentrated focus on nutritional aspects of care include:

  • Women and Heart Disease
  • Eating Disorders
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Diabetes
