COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides content in nutritional assessment methods and intervention strategies for primary care clients throughout the life span with a focus on promotion on optimum nutrition at various points in the life cycle and prevention of nutrition excess or deficiency disease.
 
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, the student will:
  1. Assess nutritional status and identify client nutritional need at points across the life span.
  2. Organize and prioritize knowledge about client nutritional needs.
  3. Identify client cues for readiness to learn about nutritional issues and participating in his/her nutritional health.
  4. Develop and implement appropriate nutritional disease prevention and health promotion strategies across the life span
