This site contains primary sources relating to New Orleans before, during and after the Hurricane Katrina disaster of August-September 2005. Over the course of the next month, you will be divided into two groups, each of which will prepare both web and print projects using material from this virtual basket of information and further independent research. Your time in class will be devoted to discussion and critique, with each week dedicated to a different aspect of the collaborative process. The goal of this exercise is to bring together what you have learned about evidence and inference this year with all the knowledge and skills you possess as journalists in a final multimedia project.
