asad ko ziist thii mushkil agar nah sun letaa
kih qatl-e ((aashiq-e dil-daadah tujh ko aasaa;N hai

1) to Asad, living was difficult-- if he hadn't heard
2) that to you, the slaying of a lover who has given his heart, is easy

Gyan Chand:

If Asad had not learned that you easily slay a lover, then it would have been difficult for him to live. He will be able to pass his life in the hope of death.
