"Raja Raja Chola (985-1014) base Gold kahavanu. King seated right in an easy posture, holding up an indistinct object (lotus?), Devanagari legend at right: Sri / Raja / Raja. Reverse  Standing king, holding up an indistinct object (lotus?), at left: lamp, at right: crescent, four orbs and lotus. Date  1007-1014. Weight  4.34 gm. Diameter  21 mm. Comments  The so-called "Ceylon" type (since it was originally introduced in Sri Lanka) was issued after 1007."
