The traditional story is that Shivaji used a "tiger claw" to disembowel the Bijapuri general Afzal Khan after they had met to negotiate (Chitrashala Press, Poona, 1920's); *a look at an inconspicuous "tiger claw" (bagh nakh) weapon*; a deadlier but more conspicuous version: *front view*; *back view*
