1a) after marriage, every single one longed for children

2a) you endured the suffering of pain-exclamations [dardaa], you suffered the harshnesses of childbirth
2b) when you tasted the relish of death, then you acquired this wealth
dardo;N ke dukh tum ne sahe jaape kii jhelii;N sa;xtiyaa;N
jab maut kaa chakkhaa mazaa tab tum ko yih daulat milii
 
3a) in the parental home and the in-laws' home, all their hearts were blooming like gardens
3b) radiance came into the house, but trouble fell on you
maike me;N aur susraal me;N sab ke hu))e dil baa;G baa;G
ghar me;N ujaalaa to hu))aa par tum pah biptaa pa;R ga))ii
 
4a) food, clothing, veiling-- you forgot everything of your own
4b) [*urdu 4*] in your occupation with the children, you no longer had any care for yourself
khaanaa pahannaa o;Rhnaa apnaa ga))ii;N sab bhuul tum
bachcho;N ke dhande me;N tumhe;N apnii nah kuchh sudh budh rahii
 
5a) even so, consider that everything was fine, as long as all were hale and hearty
5b) but a disaster confronted you, if anybody became unwell
tab tak bhii samjho ;xair thii jab tak bhale chunge the sab
par saamnaa aafat kaa thaa gar ho gayaa maa;Ndaa ko))ii
 

6a) days began to pass on the scaffold, in the nights sleep fled away
6b) every single moment, every single hour, became a year long
