Three large lines of Arabic religious verse in black nasta'liq in clouds reserved against a gold ground with polychrome floral ornament, separated by lines of Persian verse in smaller script written diagonally and at the top and bottom, with blue and gold cornerpieces in each panel, with blue, gold, turquoise, red and light blue margins, mounted on illuminated page, on one side with foliate designs drawn in gold, green on speckled grey, on the other with fantastical birds drawn in gold, reserved over pink ground, slight wear to margins. 11¾ x 7 7/8in. (30 x 20cm.); text 6½ x 4 in. (13.5 x 10.2cm.)"
