"17/18th C. Bokhara Islamic Agate Talisman: This talisman was brought out by a prominent Bokhara (Uzbekistan) family. Family history dates it to the late 17th century. The original gold which encased it was cut off, melted, and sold in difficult times - and the talisman was hidden. The present gold rim is 18kt. This is a remarkable piece and of the highest quality.
