"Extremely rare white very thin Agate with inscription of Quranic"Ayatul Kursi" "Verse of Throne" in unusually "Nasta'aliq Script" instead of conventially Naskh or Tulth script. This early eighteenth century amulet is from Khorasan-Persia. White Agates are always very much sought after stone for amulets.Collectors will greatly appreciate the sharp engraving of arabic letters on stone, which is a great achievement of the "Kandakar"-the engraver of this splendid amulet. This is ideal for a Pendant mounted on gold.Traditionally a row of small turquoise all around the circumference will make it a breathtaking amulet as well as jewellery. The edges are are not as smooth as expected perhaps,it was mounted earlier but this does not seem to affect the beauty as it would not be visible once mounted. The height of craftmanship is evident from the very small size of this stone and text engraved. Once looked closely,it will be interesting to note that the engraver has creatively designed Arabic words "AlHayee,Fi,Khalfahum and Kursi" in such a way that it beautifully seperates each line."
