Ricordi

-- the most important of all the Italian music publishing houses, its name appearing on title-pages as Edizioni Ricordi.

Ricordi was founded in 1785, and maintains its premier position still today. It published almost all of Verdi's and Puccini's operas, and many of those by other major 19th-century composers such as Rossini, Bellini, and Donizetti. Ricordi's influence on the course of opera is hard to overestimate.
