Definitions :

1)             Variable : any characteristic or attribute of persons, objects, or events that can take on different numerical values

2)             Validity: the degree to which a variable’s operationalization accurately reflects the concept it is intended to measure

3)             Reliability: the extent to which different operationalizations of the same concept produce consistent results

Levels of Measurement I:

1)             Nominal

2)             Ordinal

3)             Interval

4)             Ratio

Levels of Measurement II:

1)             Discrete

a)     Nonorderable Discrete

b)    Orderable Discrete

c)     Dichotomous
