Samanth Sabramian has been a journalist for six years, writing for Indian newspapers like The Hindu
, The New Indian Express, and The Economic Times, as well as magazines and publications in Europe and the United States. His topics have included: cricket, art, theater, travel, politics, and literature. For two years he served as a full-time movie critic.

In the summer of 2007 he returned to India to write, and to directed a play called "Death and the Maiden"
for a theater festival.
Following graduation in December, he plans to return to journalism, writing long-form features about many of the subjects he has studied about here at SIPA.
